Belle Grove Plantation
Belle Grove is one of the oldest, most significant historic house museums in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the site is managed by Belle Grove, Inc, which coordinates education programs, museum operations, visitors exhibits, and restoration projects for the historic site. Belle Grove and its members are committed to preserving the heritage of this historic site.
Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation
As authorized by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation serves as a non profit manager of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District, partnering with local, regional and national organizations and government to preserve the Valley’s battlefields and interpret and promote the region’s Civil War story.
Shenandoah Valley Network
The Shenandoah Valley Network links community group that work on land protection, land use and transportation issues in seven Virginia counties: Augusta, Highland, Frederick, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren. Its mission is to support each group that will protect traditional towns, rural land uses and natural, cultural and historic resources.
The Civil War Preservation Trust (CWPT) is a 60,000-member nonprofit organization devoted to the preservation of our nation's endangered Civil War battlefield lands. CWPT also promotes educational programs and heritage tourism initiatives to inform the public about the war and the fundamental conflicts that sparked it.
